FABIAN & CLAUDE WALTER Galerie was founded in 1986 and is one of the most well known Swiss galleries for contemporary art. In its exhibitions, the gallery presents new tendencies in international contemporary art with an emphasis on painting, sculpture, photography and video. 

Fabian & Claude Walter Galerie also specializes in Art Consulting, advising companies and private collectors on perfecting and completing their art collections and placing Art in Public Spaces.

2010 Featuring S(outh) E(ast) A(sia) with Viveek Sharma (IND) and Hideki IInuma (J) at g27. Viveek Sharma from India becomes new artist of the gallery.
 
2009 Relocation to the new gallery space at g27, Zurich and start of a new and open exhibition project with Galerie Peter Tellini and Galerie Christian Roellin.
Opening exhibition “The Best of Stash – g27” with Sonja Braas.
First solo exhibition of Michel Huelin (CH).
 
2008 Important solo exhibitions of Peter Hebeisen (CH) and Andy Denzler (CH)‏.
 
2007 Important solo exhibitions of Hugo Suter (CH) and Leta Peer (CH);
first solo show of Leyla Gediz’s (TR) in Switzerland.
Gallery artist Robert Suermondt (CH/B) receives the Meret Oppenheim Prize.
Co-production of the DVD "Dennis Oppenheim: Tooth and Nail. Film and Video 1970- 74", produced by Aaron Levy and Osvaldo Romberg in collaboration with the artist‘s studio, Fabian & Claude Walter Galerie and the Slought Foundation. Accompanied by a booklet with contributions by Aaron Levy and Willoughby Sharp.
 
2006 20 Years Fabian & Claude Walter Galerie; Solo exhibition of Hideki Iinuma (J)‏
Retrospective Balthasar Burkhard with works from 1993 to 2006.
 
2005 Solo exhibition of Uwe Wittwer (CH), whose work in the same year is shown in important solo shows at the Kunstmuseum Solothurn and the Ludwig Forum in Aachen; publication of the catalogues “Dazzled“ and “Monsoon I-III“.
 
2004 First solo exhibition of photographer Sonja Braas (D) in Switzerland.
Group exhibition “Inside Out – Land Art and its Evolution“ with: Jan Dibbets (NL), Peter Hutchinson (GB), Nancy Holt , Dennis Oppenheim and Robert Smithson (USA)‏.
 
2003 First solo exhibition of Yayoi Kusama (J) in Switzerland, with important works from the 60s and a Polka Dot room installation.
 
2002 Opening of a second gallery in the Löwenbräu Areal in Zürich.
